Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed for the season as of October 29, 2026, at Avalanche Creek on the west side of Glacier National Park and at Rising Sun on the east side. Travel on open sections of the road may change at any time due to winter weather conditions. Visitors should check road conditions before their arrival and be prepared for winter weather.

Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed for the season at Avalanche Creek on the west side of the park. On the east side, the closure is located at Rising Sun.
